The River people are currently undertaking a period of organisational restructure and professional development. All River People projects are therefore on hold for the moment but please check back on the website regularly as we’ll update you through this forum on future developments!
The River People are a puppetry and folk storytelling company who create delicate handmade theatre inspired by stories that need to be told. Recent accolades include Best Emerging Company at the Total Theatre Awards and the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe Prize.
As well as creating and touring theatrical productions the company also deliver outdoor performances in their unique travelling theatre wagon. We have developed a strong creative learning strand and offer educational and skills based workshops for adults and young people, because we think its nice to share.
The River People are the resident theatre company at Spinney Hollow Woods.
